  9. Looks like it has a Mohawk, but wow! I can count the feathers.
Thanks so much for putting the links to the backstories about the cameras. Don't know how I missed them, but have marked them now in my Delicious file so that I can drop obnoxious hints to husband.

  13. Beautiful Dawn! Funny how your just never know what your going to come up with when you take a photo.

The worst part is that you don't know how you came up with it in the first place so chances are you couldn't make it happen again if you tried! LOL!

    Love the neck feathers!

Thanks! one of the cool things about these new cameras..is that they save all the settings used when taking a photo...
so all i need to do is try those settings and see if i can duplicate it..

  15. Dawn, for someone who doesn't know what they are doing this sure came out very well!

You left a comment on my blog about bloggers getting together in AZ sometime in January. I would be interested. Keep me posted. If you want suggestions for a place to meet, I can think of lots of them. January is a great time to go to Whitewater Draw with all the sandhill cranes but there isn't much else around. Sierra Vista could be nice. There are places to eat there and it is close to Ramsey an other canyons that are good for birding. There are tons of places we could meet in the Tucson area, including Agua Caliente Park, Reid park, Saguaro National Park, and Sweetwater Wetlands. Winter is the best time to see ducks and shore birds in AZ. Sweetwater Wetlands, Agua Caliente Park and Reid park are all free. Reid Park is the most central while Agua Caliente is Northeast and Sweetwater is Northwest. All 3 are excellent birding.

  16. Hello Dawn. Thanks for visiing my blog. It seems like the ideal lifestyle to be able to travel around like that in a motorhome. What sights you must see!!

  17. Looks very professional--almost like you asked the duck to pose for you in a studio! What is your new camera? I am thinking of getting a new one--not an SLR but a lighter one I would be sure to take with me a lot.

    Thanks...
I will have two cameras when all is said and done..well three in a way..

I ordered a small camera with a 4x zoom for my husband..I will use it for digiscoping..
    that is a Canon A590

My new big camera...but slightly smaller and lighter than an slr..
is the Canon SX1 ..I opted not to keep the ..
The canon SX10 it is just as nice ..and much less money than the SX1..if you dont need fast shutter speed and high def video ..go with the canon SX10 ..20x optical zoom for both cameras..

I am in the process of ordering an every day camera...one to carry on me all the time!
    That will be the
Panasonic Lumix DMC ZS3 ..12x optical zoom..a small camera with lots of zoom power!
    Good luck!
Let me know what you decide!
