Howdee all,
When we were in NYC last week I spent allot of my time looking up through the skyscrapers …… to find the sky.
Backdrop to amazing man made creations…I found it….by looking up… Hello there sky! way up there…
Hello there…above the buildings…
I could look straight ahead and see it reflected in front of me!
Happy Skywatch Friday!
May you all see the sky!
Check out all these others who saw and photographed the sky!
I'm glad the sky was blue and bright and you enjoyed looking up! I remember my trips to NYC and feeling so small on the street down below.
ReplyDeleteNice shots - I love bright sunny skies w/ a few clouds tossed in!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautious blue!
ReplyDeleteGreat views of the skies with interesting foregrounds of the tall sky scrapers. Nice to know there is beautiful sky in NYC.
ReplyDeleteSo so nice! Towering, majestic! Just look at the reflection of that sky in front of you in the back window..teehee. love it! I'm reminded of times I sometimes just look at the reflection of the sky and clouds on the river... and I can see birds flying up there : -) One day.. one day I'm gonna see that Big Apple!
ReplyDeleteOh - it looks like you got lucky and got to be there during such pretty weather!!
ReplyDeleteInteresting perspectives - Modigliani with a camera. You can see where his broadway boogie woogie might have come from (at least I think that's a name of one of his paintings).
ReplyDeleteIt's always up there. And isn't it beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe sky is where you find it - and where you look for it! I especially enjoyed the reflection in the car window.
ReplyDeleteAmazing skyline and nice angle, Great photo!

ReplyDeleteThat 4th photo is the most amazing. Great composition idea for skyscrapered cities.
ReplyDeleteNice! Were you there for Manhattanhenge?
ReplyDeleteModigliani is one of my favorite artists. Boogie Woogie Broadway was by Piet Mondrian an abstract artist. Totally different style than Modigliana. Loved all the pictures. Made me think of my lovely Pittsburgh. My fav was the sky in the window pic.

ReplyDeleteWOW! Fabulous captures of the sky among all those tall building!
ReplyDeleteI must get back to NYC one of these days.
ReplyDeleteExquisite shots Dawn!
I loved that first shot with the beautiful sky reflected in the skyscrapers. Nice wide angle. NYC is very exciting--I remember my trips there. The noise really got to me though. Everytime I heard a loud noise, I thought it was a car wreck.
ReplyDeleteI've very much enjoyed this beautiful sequence of photos! Nice views and angles!
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Love the fourth one - gives a good feeling of being surrounded by buildings...
ReplyDeleteI've been to New York and I got a crick in my neck looking up!
ReplyDeleteLove the place though.
Great pictures! I especially like the first two. The buildings in the first picture seem so clean and new. I like the way the sky reflects off of them.
ReplyDeleteI love the sunsets in NY... I just realized that my post for Carmi was of dusk and I could have used it for SkyWatch Friday as well. One can never have too many pictures of the sky... always different.
ReplyDeleteWHat a lovely clear day
