Howdee all,
On a sunny day last week we took a drive to downtown Mystic, Ct.
Just a short ten minute drive from Mom and Dads home.
It was a beautifully warm sunny day with amazing puffy clouds.
Looking toward River road on the west side of the river
Looking now toward Mystic Seaport on the East side of the river.
One of the Tall ships at Mystic Seaport Museum
For more skies around the world ..
head to Skywatch Friday this afternoon..I will set up link when it is available after 2:30
Beautiful, Dawn. Nothing like a tall ship to be a great foreground for the sky.
ReplyDeleteI've been in love with Mystic ever since I saw "Mystic Pizza." Looks like such a lovely little town. Nice photographs.
ReplyDeleteWow Dawn what great photo's... Makes me want to pick up and head your way... Loved them!!! Have a great Sun Shiney Day!!!

Looks like Mystic has a marvelous port. Love the tall ships. And your explosive cloud shot is awesome.
ReplyDeleteAmazing clouds...and a wonderful town! I would love to be ten minutes away from a beautiful port like that!
ReplyDeleteI love clouds too. Loved the explosive cloud.
ReplyDeleteWow. You blog frequently. Love the clouds and the name of the town. Mystic. That's nice, too.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are some major clouds, Dawn! Cool.
ReplyDeleteMystic is such a lovely place--thank you for letting me visit, and thank you for sharing your photos on Skywatch.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that where the movie Mystic Pizza was shot w/ Julia Roberts?
ReplyDeleteIt looks really nice there!
Happy Sky Watch Friday & Have a wonderful weekend!
Beautiful shots, Dawn. Although that "explosion" shot might have me running for cover!
ReplyDeleteThe Tall Ships have such an old world look, they are so appealing.
ReplyDeleteDawn, how lovely! It's been so long since I have been there and those thunderheads are really towering! Where was that BLUE SKY when I was visiting?
ReplyDeleteYou showed beautiful places in Mystic. But where is the restaurant from the movie, Mystic Pizza? Was there really a restaurant?
ReplyDeleteThese pics are fantastic! I'd love to visit your world!

The clouds were amazing last week-end, weren't they? I too took some interesting cloud pictures as they were perfect for photographing.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Mystic. I'll bet it's a wonderful seaport to explore! Beautiful photos!
Beautiful shot. The cloud formation as white cotton looks great.
ReplyDeleteThey aree all great shots, but I just love the third one with that huge white cloud.

ReplyDeleteWould LOVE to see more of that place! I remember seeing it on something on HGTV once--I was intrigued by it then.
ReplyDeleteWill have to rent the movie. Of course, if you want to go back and give us more....
Beautiful pictures!
What a glorious day and beautiful views..
ReplyDeleteLove the tall ship..
Wonderful captures... ;-)
Great pics, I guess that CT is on my list of places to get to.
ReplyDeleteAwesome sky images!
ReplyDeleteThank you each and everyone for commenting..
ReplyDeleteMystic pizza was about themed around Mystic..though not really what mystic is all about. There is a Mystic pizza..but to my knowledge it is not the one in the movie.
Mystic is a cute little seaport town..one that I had always dreamt about living in. Quite expenseive these days.
I would highly recommend a visit to this seaport town.
Give me a holler and I can suggest some nice places to eat.
I think you are wrong sicksta..
