Great video Dawn! I really liked the zoom in on the juvenile. Tis the season to see all those juvenile birds being taught the ropes by their parents. Very cool!
Odd how its mostly males. Where are all the mama's? It's looking very tropical in your mom's yard.
Our Orioles stopped coming by because of all the rain. I put more jelly out but haven't seen anything but ants! Maybe they got smart and flew south ... to your place!
Wow, Dawn -- I can't think of another word but "awesome"! Well, that and "jealous," but that's describing me rather than your video. I tried chasing Baltimore Oriole sightings three or four times during migration this spring, and still haven't seen a single one. At least now I know where to find them, if I ever make it up to Connecticut. Just look for the grape jelly trees at Dawn's Mom & Dad's house!
Thanks for posting this video. It's absolutely wonderful! (And did I mention that I'm a wee bit jealous? Yup, I thought so.)
Thanks for all your kind comments! I just had to capture all the activity..this has been a banner year for Orioles at my parents feeders. The Grape Jelly keeps them here a bit longer. My parents suspect once the young are on their own that they will all leave as in previous years. hee hee..sorry for the jealousy..But I get jealous looking at what others are seeing and I am not too! I am so glad we all can share what we are seeing! Thanks again each and everyone for your comments!
Wow, it really does look like an orange tree, how wild! I've never seen so many together, what a treat. Your jelly costs must be quite high, I imagine?
That is so cool. And I get excited just seeing one or two of them - and here you've got a whole flock! Imagine how excited I would have been to see so many.
Wow!! Ten orioles and a baby too! Your mom and dad must have the best jelly around. Amazing. I've never seen so many together.
ReplyDeleteThe video would not load up for me. Just wondering though. Do they realize they are not in Baltimore.
ReplyDeleteThat was a fun one!
ReplyDeleteGreat video, Dawn - I've never seen so many in the same place at the same time.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to have so many orioles together at once. Great video too.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome video! :)

ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of Orioles in one place! I hope the fledglings would come to our feeders soon.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh and I was thrilled to see a female at my hummingbird feeder today...you lucky ducky Dawn...
ReplyDeleteSo cool Dawn!!! Love those birds!
ReplyDeleteNice lot of birds.
ReplyDeleteThat was an absolute treat to see an aviary full of Orioles without having an aviary. What magic do you posess to attract so many?
