Howdee all,
Edisto Beach State Park
It was windy here at the coast today…winds gusting about 20 miles per hour.
Because of the windy conditions we decided to walk thru town one way and the beach on the way back. The wind would be at our back for the walk on the beach.
We walked about three miles thru town…just shy of the end of the island.
The photos below are on our trip back.
The wind was starting to calm…
We didn’t bring our binoculars this trip.
Just my trusty little pocket camera..
Ring-billed Gulls
no high rises or hotels on the island.
Ring-billed Gull doing the one footed stand…
The majority of the gulls were
Ring-billed
Most of them were oyster or pieces of shells like the one below.
No great specimens….I think we need a storm to bring a few ashore.
We are almost back to the campground..
The distant pier is close to our campground..
We did see a few sea urchin as well.
With plenty of time to make dinner and watch the sunset
out of our dining room window..
