  1. The first time I saw one I couldn't believe the intensity of the Cinnamon Teal's color.

  2. Wow, that's a lot of birding for one day. I especially like the ducks in a row, the ones that didn't pose.;-)

  5. What beauties!! I'd have been moving that scope around like a mad woman trying to see every single one! Wow!

  6. Looks like it was an awesome trip! And I do think those three ducks *were* posing for you, in their own way--kind of like little kids doing handstands in the pool!

  7. What a super day Dawn! I'm glad you made it to Cosumnes to see the Cranes. I didn't know about Woodbridge Reserve. Did you go on your own to the part open to the public? Looks like a great spot!

The photos are awesome, especially the cranes. I love the "Love Birds" shot and the close-up above it. My favorite thing about the Sandhill Cranes is their prehistoric call.

  8. Dawn-Thanks for visiting my blog. You do a better job of posting regularly than I do. I enjoyed the pictures of the mushrooms you found in Oregon. We just returned from visiting grand kids south of Portland. No time to look for mushrooms with a five year old, two year old and a 7 month old. The eleven year old wants to go fly fishing and mushroom hunting. The kids has potential.
