Howdee all,
I have been loving this walk we take from the campground.
A short walk to the beach..then we head north.
This was our first walk north to the inlet.. We were on the search for Razorbills that had been seen near the jetties between North Beach and Murrells Inlet.
This particular day was windy and cold..
We bundled up..Hats, scarfs, gloves and many layers..
Especially when you have the beach to yourself..
I search the tide lines for treasures..
There are not that many shells here..though, I have found a few little treasures that I will share in another blog post.
It’s a 2.5 mile walk from the campground to the jetty
Its one of the treasures brought back to Homey.
The wind picks up and blows sand around the beach..
A monsters hand reaches out of the sand..
Oops..not a monsters hand at all..
The jetty..
Sanderling blurred by blowing sand..
We finally arrive at the jetty
We walked to the end of the jetty to look for the Razorbills…
It was extremely windy and we didn’t search too long..
We saw many Eared Grebe, Bonaparte Gulls, Common and Red-throated Loons
At least not this day
