Howdee all,
After a rather uneventful two nights in Savannah in a Walmart Parking lot..(Jeff was sick with Vertigo) We did do a quick tour of Tybee and Skidaway Islands.
We spent the last two nights at Macintosh Lake RV park near Harris Neck NWR.
A fellow blogger, Lydia from Costal Georgia Birding suggested we see Harris Neck NWR and a facebook friend and part time Park ranger also said she liked the park. So we went to check it out.
Our campsite overlooking the lake. When we got settled into our RV site we decided to take a drive thru the park.
The park has a four mile loop road thru the park.
If you had a bike there are many other trails to wander.

ReplyDeleteThe spainish moss is intriguing. I had a fun time looking over your travels.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are gorgeous! No idea what that pod is but it looks really cool! The Spanish moss is pretty neat too ... and of course I love the ducks :)
ReplyDeleteI love following you on your trips. I don't know what the seed pod is either. That looks like a nice wildlife refuge to visit.
ReplyDeleteHi Dawn, I enjoyed the walk and your photos. The Spanish Moss is neat and the cypress knees. Love the Ibis and Merganser.
ReplyDeleteLovely scenery Dawn, no we definitely dont want to hear you whine.{:)
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome improvement over WalMart. Those draped trees are amazing! Love the armadillo.
ReplyDeleteonce in a while I will get an inner ear infection that gives me vertigo. I take motion sickness medicine and it seems to be okay. It is awful.
ReplyDeleteCool pics! I never have been to Savannah.
Nice photos! I almost went to Harris Neck NWR myself on Sunday, until the coworker I was supposed to go with bailed. And I know Lydia - small world! I live on Jekyll Island, one of the further-south barrier islands of Georgia.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are so lucky to see such things as a Armadillo. I would love to see wild life like that..
ReplyDeleteOoh,, Armadillo, I want one.
ReplyDeleteGreat series!!
What great photos Dawn... I just love the Savannah area. So much beauty and there is nothing like the beauty of the moss swaying in the breeze on a big old oak tree... So southern!
ReplyDeleteHave fun & Travel Safe
Donna
