STill lots Bloomin in the cold

Howdee all,

Its getting colder here in North Carolina..past few mornings there has been frost on the ground. The news threatens snow on Saturday night…but we don’t believe them..or don’t want to.  Its now 54 at ten thirty in the morning…might reach 60…yippee..maybe that will get us outside for a walk. Yesterday I wanted to go for a walk and Jeff said it was too cold…I didn’t object. >Sissies we are<or maybe we are just lazy in our winter hibernation doldrums.

Any hoo…I did get out and take a few pictures.

Well, more fell during the windy night recently and I we will be filling more buckets and moving them…..so we don’t fall and break our Osteoporosis bones…birds and flowers_017This batch of nuts below…

Jeff is cleaning them and we will take them back to CT for Christmas …My mother wants them for her squirrels…hee hee..WE could take back a ton..but then there will be no room for Christmas presents…hummm..that’s an idea.Smilebirds and flowers_007Eastern Phoebe…me thinks.. hangs out in our yard here.birds and flowers_005

    Next week is supposed to be really chilly here - Highs only in the
    30s. And maybe snow this weekend.

    Love all the bright flowery colors you're still seeing. But those nuts look potentially dangerous to walk on. Would make great Christmas presents for your birding friends.

    All this predicted cold weather makes me think it's time to head further south. I'm really not good with snow.

    Dawn, the flowers are beautiful. I love the roses. The heart is really pretty. My driveway looks similiar with all the acorns all over the place.

    Howdee all,
    Thanks for you kind comments..Since this post it has gotten much colder..today its in the mid 30s and windy...burr..
    the flowers are still blommin..but i think the Pansies will freeze tonight.

    Gaelyn...go south..I am with you..I dont like the cold anymore..I have become a whimp.
