Every year for Mothers day I buy flowers for Moms front garden.
It varies year to year…but lately she has preferred all Zinnias.
The zinnias fill in beautifully..
A few Cleome self sown from last year..
we didn't plant the sunflower either..
I think the Goldfinches planted it.
The bugs enjoy the Zinnias as well.
Its a busy garden…
I believe this is a
Sachem skipper
Spicebush Swallowtail ?
Papilio troilus Linnaeus
American Goldfinch on the Cleome
Three bees and a bird..
These three bees hung out on the sunflower for over a half hour..
Eastern Tiger Swallowtail
Papilio glaucus Linnaeus
Look Out Bee~hind you!
Next year I am sure it will be more Zinnas, hopefully some Cleome will self seed..
I think i will add a few more sunflowers.
Muthers busy garden..
Jeff and I will be moving Homey to Chatham for a few weeks and commuting back to Lexington for a few Dr appts and Baby visits.
Then we think we will move Homey to CT for the month of Sept and leaving sometime in October to head west…
