Howdee all,
Back to December of 2001
We left Las Vegas in our new motorhome *Homey* and drove to Phoenix, Arizona to be with our Motorhome Mentors Dave and Jackie Daniels..
They liked this over 55 RV park in Mesa and stayed here many years..
It is like a summer camp for old folks..All kinds of activities.
Val del Oro
Jeff was 53 and I was 45 they made an exception and let us into the park since we knew another couple there.
Ha..this year I fully qualify for a 55 an older park..
See Phoenix in the distance..
I took a photo of a Cactus wrens nest.
Sunset in the Superstition Mountains
Stay tuned to see where and with who.
Any guesses?

Beautiful sunset! I love that southern desert, in the winter, except for the dusty wind. But I really do love the plants and environment. Nice to see you two taking off on that new life adventure.
Enjoying your Histories :)
Hi Dawn, it is nice to read about the start of your adventure and RV living. The photos are beautiful, especially the last sunset shot. Have a great week!
oh my your car was so young and shiny. Poor thing.
I was going to suggest getting a hammock tent to hang between two trees... but over there you only got cacti!
Still beautiful land, even though it may get absolutely scorching during the summer!
Great post ~ love hearing about the beginning of your adventures! Looking forward to more ☺
Have fun & Travel safe
Donna
Love these little memory trips Dawn! Keep 'em coming!!
PS - Hope Colin is doing well!!
Great to take a trip down memory lane every now and then. Many years ago my parents looked forward to retiring to a home on wheels and travel the country. They didn't get a chance but I know they would have loved it as much as you have.
Thanks everyone!
Glad you are enjoying my trip down memory lane.
I still cant believe it has been ten years already.
Where oh where does the time go?
