Georgia on my mind
Savannah Georgia that is.
...sitting here in homey...with the heater on....burr its cold out there today ....in the fifties and rainy...so we are staying home and doing catchup work...computer work...etc....
We are staying at an rv park on Skidaway Island.....about a ten minute drive to savannah...nice campground....lots of trees ...so no satillite coverage...bike path and hiking trails...cats like being outside.....today i like being inside....havent had many inside days in over two months....its kinda nice...wish i had fireplace.....or nice hot jacuzzi.....guess i better put my slippers on....maybe some mittens...ha....
Went in town yesterday...did a little walk around...the riverfront and some streets and squares....lots of squares....nice....not alot of people...where are they all? Everythings in bloom....dogwood, azaleas...tulips...flower gardens, jasmine, the drooping purple vine flower....whats it called? cant think of it.....oh wisteria...ha...and of course the ever dripping spanish moss....draping the oak trees....very nice....and dont forget the palm trees....nice this time of year....but a native said i wouldnt like it here in the summer....would die of sweat i think....all the water would drip out of me and then back in again from the air....ha
it would be a kind of torture....i think i will avoid georgia and florida in the summer....
tommoow i thinkwe will do a guided tour....supposed to be warmer and some sun....

florida blogging.....
Hi there...well it has been quite a while since I have blogged....I think i have forgotten how to do it...
and the only reason I have time now is that we are traveling an hour or so to our next destination..
Shark Valley....Just spent a few Days a the Jolly rodger campground in Marathon Key...had a great campsite with 3o amp hookup by the water....very expensive though...around 60 dollars a night...but that is how it is on the Keys....the closer you get to key west the more it costs.
I do have some video i have to put on this blog...but I havent yet taken it out of my camera to put here....tooo busy...ha...too busy birding and then cooking at the campsite and campfires and starviewing ...well too busy....
Traveling now with Dick and Judy May.....Sick Birders like ourselves.....Having a grand ole time...
I like Key limes...i also found another fruit i like it is called the Black Sapote....
or chocolate pudding fruit...the fruit need to be very mushy and ripe..almost black and oozzing..looks bad..but the fruit has a nice mild taste and pudding consistancy...I really enjoyed it...also enjoying some great mangos...
I dont like ants, well i dont like having them in the coach....and we have had them for almost two weeks...tiny sugar ants...I am slowly getting rid of them with ant killer...they make me mad..ha....so i am making them dead...watch out....

the salty air....Great Lobster dinner with crab cakes and corn...great appetizers as well....
Fresh home made high bush blueberry pie and lemon squares for dessert...Georgias a great cook.. and thanks doc for cooking the crustaseans.....yummm

Macoun apples and contact lens
Well its Fall tommorow...
...and I am eating a Macoun appple....my favorite apple, and it is only available for such a short period of time....so i will eat one a day until there are no more on the trees.
And I can, without cheaters, see the apple. I can, without cheaters, read on the computer and read just about anything...unless it is soooo small... I am using a contact in one eye for close vision, I am still new to this , as i just got the contact yesterday. But so far I like what i see...ha...
I do loose a little distance vision, it seems a bit strange... I will see how it goes.
Here are the porcelain mushrooms I have from aunt lil.....well actually her daughter gave them to me...arent they cool? I wonder if they are worth anything?
